If your incline on your Elliptical isn't adjusting or having some sort of issue, changing the battery just might solve it! The short of it is these types of cardio machines are self generating. That means they generate their own electricity and are independent of any power source. The problem is incline motors, also called actuators, require a lot more electrical energy than the internal generator can provide. So they have an SLA (Sealed Lead Acid Battery) to provide adequate electrical energy in "exciting" the actuators while in operation (incline/stride increased and decreased). So if that goes bad, then your incline issues or even stride issues begin to appear. Hope this helps!
